My Yoga Pro

My Yoga Pro

MyYogaPro is a project by Andy from and Bad Yogi Erin. For more information, check it out here.

Although I always intended Vega in Vianen to be ‘just about food’, I can’t really deny that I am an aspiring yogi(ni) and that half of my Facebook newsfeed is filled with posts from Elephant Journal, Mind Body Green and Do You Yoga. This can hardly be a surprise: most vegetarian/vegans I know are into yoga. It is through a vegan blog that I came across I had never tried to do yoga at home with the help of podcasts and such – I just did what I remembered from class or what I found on Pinterest – but when fellow blogger Laura from Mijn leven als vegan wrote about Erin Motz’s 30 Day Yoga Challenge I wanted to give it a try. Needless to say, I never made it through (I’m easily challenged, but I rarely keep with it). I did, however, discover that I liked following online classes (and that I Ioved the DoYouYoga website…). So, when I learned about the MyYogaPro project, I immediately became a backer (I think they had raised not even $2000 at that stage). I was so excited about the project – 200 yoga classes, the possibility to follow classes on different levels, keeping track of your progress – and desperate for it to be a success that I checked every hour how much money was pledged already. Well… Within days the $20,000 limit was reached and by now, over $100,000 has been pledged (with still two weeks to go). I can’t wait until April 2014, when MyYogaPro is supposed to go live. I got myself a lifetime access pass and I’m not afraid to use it when the time has come 🙂
